'Skyfall' (Video): James Bond 'Dies,' MI6 Blows Up

Director Sam Mendes has managed to keep an extremely tight lid on the details surrounding the upcoming James Bond movie, "Skyfall" as did the stars of the film. (However, after a few teasers, 007 fanatics may finally have the answers they've been looking for.
In the first official full-length trailer for "Skyfall," debuting exclusively on Moviefone, James Bond gets shot, M writes his obituary and James Bond comes back to life. Oh, also, MI6 headquarters blows up, the villain Silva (played by a completely terrifying, blonde wig-wearing Javier Bardem) speaks for the first time, and Ralph Fiennes finally gives us a look at M's (Judi Dench) boss, Gareth Mallory.
Last but not least, we get the long-awaited return of Q (remember Q?) the brilliant tech wiz behind 007's fancy gadgets who hasn't been seen on screen since John Cleese took over the role in 2002's "Die Another Day." (The man best known for playing Q, Desmond Llewelyn, passed away in 1999.) Here, Q (albeit, a much younger one played by actor Ben Whishaw) returns with some cool new weaponry, namely, a handgun that's been coded to Bond's palm print, meaning only he can fire it (cue sly smirk from 007 himself, Daniel Craig).
You can take a look at the trailer above. "Skyfall," starring Daniel Craig, Bardem, Fiennes, Judi Dench and Albery Finney, hits theaters on November 9.

'Skyfall' Does James Bond suffer a nervous break down

The new trailer for "Skyfall" reveals James Bond engaging in wordplay.
The opening sequence initially appears to be an interrogation of Bond (Daniel Craig), but we're thinking it's actually a psychological evaluation. The fact that M (Judi Dench) and new character Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes) -- whose ultimate allegiance seems questionable -- are looking on while Bond receives a barrage of keywords seems telling.
Does Bond suffer a mental breakdown that leads to this mysterious back-and-forth? It's not totally clear, but we do notice Bond is the only one in this sequence not wearing a suit -- which is pretty much completely out of character for him.  In fact, he appears to be some sort of government-issued onesie.
Here is the revealing-yet-cryptic word association "game" depicted in the new trailer of  the film which will be in theaters November 9):
Mysterious official: "Country."
Bond: "England."
Mysterious official: "Gun."
Bond: "Shot."
Mysterious official: "Agent."
Bond: "Provocateur." (As in the fancy lingerie line?)
Mysterious official:"Murder."
Bond: "Employment."
Mysterious official: "Skyfall."
Bond: "Done."
As Bond recalls a past horror before saying "done," Skyfall appears to be revealed as a mission from his past that really haunted him -- so yeah, it's gotta be bad since Bond has sort of seen it all.
There's a shadowy figure walking near a building engulfed in flames. Is that villain Silva (Javier Bardem)? We're thinking it is.
And who is the the girl shaving Bond: Eve is played by Naomie Harris, who was the voodoo priestess with the weird teeth, Tia Dalma, in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequels.

Greek Model lands role in new James Bond Film

Photo by Tonia Sotiropoupou/FacebookThe upcoming 007 film "Skyfall" has a new Bond girl: Tonia Sotiropoulou.
If you don't know her now, you will soon enough. The Greek model-actress announced the casting on her Facebook page. "Dear friends I officially announce I got a part in J. Bond new film!!! Turkey here I come! Thank u all for you love and support! This is officially the happiest day of my life b******!!!!"
James Bond fan site MI6 broke the news. According to the site, Sotiropoulou originally auditioned for the part of "Severine," but she lost the role to French actress Berenice Marlohe. Apparently she made enough of an impression to come back in another role. Naomie Harris will play another Bond girl, Eve, while Oscar winnerJavier Bardem will play the baddie bent on (what else?) world domination.
Near as we can tell, this will be Sotiropoulou's first big-time flick. And she is justifiably excited. Again, according to MI6, she spoke about her happiness with the Greek press. "This is the happiest day of my life so far! I feel very lucky and blessed, but basically, I am very grateful that this happened, for my family and my friends who believe in me and support trying to do. I will do the best. I am very proud because somehow it might be something that will advertise in Greece and I am happy about it."
Daniel Craig (Susie Allnutt/Sony Pictures)Sony, the studio distributing the movie, had no comment on the subject.
Not much is known about "Skyfall," but expectations for the third Daniel Craig Bond flick are high. Directed by Oscar winner Sam Mendes ("American Beauty"), the film has come under fire forhaving Bond drink a Heineken beer instead of a vodka martini.
He can wiggle his way out of laser prisons and jump from crashing planes, but not even 007 can escape the most dastardly villain of all -- product placement.
