With the success of “The Hunger Games” at the box office it’s no surprise that pre-production is underway for the sequel, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” What might come as a surprise today, however, is the shooting location for some of the film’s crucial scenes. Russ Bowen, a news reporter with the scoop, stated on Twitter that filming for the big arena scenes will take place on Kauai, one of the state’s islands. According to Bowen, filming at this location will take place during the last few weeks of the production.
.We’ve also learned that more scenes from the Seam will be filmed at Henry River in North Carolina, early this fall. This is the same location that was used in the first film.
.Hang in there, “Hunger Games” fans … it won’t be long before filming actually starts and we can get some set images! Until then, what do you think about this filming location for the new arena?
