LONDON - James Bond actor Daniel Craig is giving "Bond girl" a whole new meaning, dressing up in drag for a short film to support International Women's Day.The 007 star traded his signature suit for a flowing blond wig, dress, pearls and sensible heels in the somber clip which highlights inequalities faced by women around the world.
The video is narrated by actress Judi Dench, recreating her role as spymaster M, notes Bond's "fondness for women" but asks if the suited spy has "ever considered what it might like to be one."
A silent Bond (Craig) reappears on camera and strikes a seemingly confident pose in drag. Dench as M rattles off statistics on sexual violence, education and pay inequality, Craig pulls off the wig and earrings.
He exits the screen when asked "So, are we equals?"
